By now, you may have heard of the Danish lifestyle concept that has gained wider popularity in recent years. Hygge is everything you would hope it would be. It’s one word that describes the many forms of comfort, relaxation and warmth of the colder weather seasons.
Hygge is a soft blanket on a chilly evening, curled up with hot cocoa, reading your favorite book. It’s sharing a slow-cooked meal with a close knit group of friends while you make pleasant conversation and celebrate your time together. Lighting candles and setting up the perfect folk record on your turntable is hygge. Nearly any small pleasure that makes you feel cozy and at ease can be described as hygge.
