Alexis Jones completed her Bachelors and Masters degrees at the University of Southern California, then founded the non-profit I AM THAT GIRL (501c3), which currently has 1.05M+ girls involved and just opened a chapter in its 20th country. Alexis quickly became an internationally recognized speaker, media personality, activist and author. She also hosted a TV show on the red carpet, worked at Fox Sports, ESPN and various shows on MTV, CBS and TLC. Alexis hosted and organized the first TEDxAustin Women (the most globally streamed of 2014) and came on as the Executive Producer on the anti-bullying film, A Brave Heart: The Lizzie Velasquez Story which ended up winning 10 awards in 9 film festivals. Alexis most recently launched her new company, ProtectHer after she was invited to give a talk to the top eighteen quarterbacks in the country, on the importance of respecting women for a show called Elite 11. When the show aired, over night she was hired by D1 locker rooms all over the country and ProtectHer was born out of the urgency to inspire male athletes
Alexis has been invited to speak at The White House, The United Nations, Harvard, Stanford, SXSW, Sundance, ESPN, NIKE, Pepsi, DELL and recently gave her first TEDx talk. She has been featured as one of AOL’s MAKERS along with Oprah, Ellen and Sheryl Sandberg. She was highlighted as Oprah’s #SuperSoul100, Fast Company’s “Female Trailblazers”, ESPN’s “Pop Culture’s Top 10,” #CreateCultivate100, as an Ambassador for L’Oreal’s new STEM and listed as one of DELL’s #Inspire100 List. She’s also been featured in The New York Times, LA Times, WSJ, NPR, USA Today, Huffington post, Fast Company, Sports Illustrated, and O Magazine.
