Check out Wonderful Humans and their single “Just What I Needed!” Composed of Brian Wesley and Amanda Joyce Carl, this NYC couple creates synthy tropical-pop reminiscent of the 90s, perfect in anticipation for the summer sun.  Their song “Edge of the Night” feels like the ride home after a day full of adventure.
A note from Amanda:
This project started out from a really natural place. After a few months of dating, the frightening question that couples often try to avoid came up in conversation: “Would you want to work together?” Being songwriters at heart, it actually came together rather quickly. Coming from different musical backgrounds made it even more enjoyable. “Just What I Needed” blends what we love about 90s pop music with modern production techniques.
Honesty is the most important factor when it comes to writing for this project and others. As artists, but more importantly as people who genuinely care about each other, we try to follow a basic guideline: make sure you love and mean what you are saying. The new single is a great representation of where we want to take our future releases. I don’t just want the listener to hear what I’m saying, I want them to feel it.
“Just What I Needed” is the first single from the upcoming debut EP, due out later this spring.
