AS hard as it can be, always try to ignore it. people don’t even think twice about the horrible things they casually tap out on their keyboard because they feel less responsible. they can project, but hide and not deal with “real consequences” at the same time.
I actually did an event last year where i experimented with that concept. i printed out a massive tweet telling people to tweet me back. except they had to write their 120 characters on a little piece of paper (IRL VS ONLINE SORTA THING) .
none of them were negative.
people actually thought about what they were putting to paper because it was something tangible. even when they were stuck, they made an effort to look around and say something nice.
It is my mantra to always speak my mind to ease my heart. For me, speaking up to negativIty is bravery. It doesn’t have to be confrontational. It could be In a way of Thanking your non-believers for making you strongEr. Or it could be Sharing your thoughts on the situation. I don’t ignore because it has to be addressed. This Helps you release the bad vibes too. When you’ve said your part, that’s when you stop.
