At Darling we’ve always chosen models that we feel represent the warmth and creativity of our brand, working with local L.A. agencies. However, we’ve realized that shooting our pieces on our actual friends, community members and Ambassadors is more connective for our brand.
That said, we’re excited to introduce our featured model, Emily Anderberg, who’s local to L.A. and one of our Ambassadors! She’s beautiful inside and out with a kind heart, so read on to get to know her more.
If we just met in an elevator, how would you describe your life currently?
My life currently is exciting, but also a little chaotic! We are currently planning to move back to the Midwest (in October!) where I’m originally from, to start a family and settle down! All exciting new adventures, but also crazy to be preparing for these new journeys together as a family!  We’ve always had conversations about it and now I’m like WOW it’s happening!!
I’m excited to start a family, be closer to family, have a garden and more space, and live a slower-paced life!
What is bringing you the most joy in your life right now?
The change in seasons—I love the crisp air and cooler weather. It always brings warm comfort food, cozy and comfy outfits, and time with friends as family as holidays approach!
What’s your favorite thing about fashion as self-expression?
I love that fashion brings people together and it can inspire you and others in so many ways. I’ve met so many amazing new friends via social media through fashion and expressing my favorites or seeing what other people are loving. It sparks so many fun convos with people who have the same style and vision!
If you could give your younger self advice on confidence, what would you say?Â
Don’t compare yourself to others and just embrace what brings you joy!
In your opinion, what makes a woman most beautiful?
Kindness—I think kindness goes way beyond any physical features of beauty.
What is your favorite thing about the Darling community?
Connecting with amazing people online who have similar interests. I also love seeing how other Ambassadors style their Darling looks and what inspires them. It’s a great way to also get inspired myself.

People who litter—or chew with their mouth open 🙂
Favorite travel destination?
Greece! Specifically Milos, Greece
