BUILD
gather bricks, rock, sand
we have a home to build in foregin land
the foundation dug deep.
a hole hungry to be filled
bring windows
for us to see
bring the door for guests
to enter
bring the roof
to protect our heads
shelter when wind shakes
bring working hands
to hold tight to tools
our labor lasting
losing not the blueprint
a floor plan for family
amongst the homeless
the cornerstone carved
bring the chairs and table
it’s time to feast and celebrate!
This is the home we create
daily as we bring raw materials
thankful hearts
to build something
far bigger than ourselves
