Summer is finally here. Rooftop parties, Saturdays at the beach, and afternoons drinking rosé have begun to crowd your schedule. But before diving into all the fun sun-filled activities that this season offers, make sure to mark something else on your calendar – lathering up on sunblock. A tan is still possible even with protection, so be sure to play it safe by keeping that skin protected.
Opt for SPF 30 to 50 to ensure a strong barrier against those rays:
1. Sunforgettable Mineral Sunscreen Brush SPF 50
This sunscreen’s powder form makes it super easy to apply with its built-in portable brush. The red algae included in its ingredient list guards your skin against environmental stressors. For a grease-free, mess-free product that doesn’t clog your pores, this sunscreen is your best bet. Don’t be surprised if your boyfriend/husband wants in on some dry sunblock action too!
2. John Masters Natural Mineral Sunscreen SPF 30
This luxurious sunscreen is thin enough to feel good on your face but strong enough to fully penetrate your skin. The product’s ingredients boast shea butter, jojoba oil, and hyaluronic acid which all provide serious moisture — enough to act as both your sunblock and daytime moisturizer.
3. Peter Thomas Roth Oily Problem Skin Instant Mineral SPF 30
For those with extra oily skin, opt for this trustable brand’s brush-on-block. Its ingredients include willow bark extract, a natural source of salicylic acid, which helps absorb oil, loosen sebum, and prevent breakouts. Its pocket-sized shape makes it easy to carry in your purse and reapply throughout the day.
4. Coola Sport SPF 30 Citrus Mimosa Moisturizer
If you want a refreshing scent to your sunscreen, Coola’s citrus mimosa is a pleasant surprise as you lather up. Seventy percent of the product is made of certified organic ingredients. It’s ninety-eight percent natural, infused with omegas 3 and 6, and ultra water resistant (up to 80 minutes), so if you’re active and like to know your sunscreen is chemical-free, this one’s for you. One more perk: it’s sting-free for those times a little sunscreen gets in your eyes!
While the initial application of sunblock is vital, re-applying is just as important. The sun doesn’t stop shining, so when the lifespan of the product on your face expires (every two to four hours), don’t miss a beat and remember to rub on some more.

I am loving Paula’s Choice SPF 50 sunscreen! I’m on my third bottle and use it for the entire family. It’s lightweight, doesn’t make me breakout and does a great job for $17! Only con is that it’s a little bit runny, but the pros definitely outweigh that minor con.
