Blue skies, sand, and surf have made Southern California one of our favorite places to visit. Along with an infectious down-to-earth spirit, we discovered during those visits a growing movement of people who are making a positive impact in their local communities and abroad. Orange County, in particular, is putting itself on the map as a hub for creative social enterprises.

POPNOD and Lisa Liberatore of 31 Bits and Fashion Diplomacy recently teamed up to launch the Good City Guide for Orange County, the fourth guide in the series. From Laguna Beach to Costa Mesa, these eight brands are truly changing the world by bringing people together in impactful ways:

  1. One of my favorite OC sustainable storefronts is Amor Vert in Newport. Love shopping their fabulous apparel knowing I’m doing good in the world with my dollar.

  2. ONEHOPE Wine’s warehouse is also based in Orange County! Each of the varietals supports a different non profit with each purchase!

  3. So Worth Loving (based in Atlanta) is incredible. Started out as a blog on Tumblr, grown into an actual store. “Community of passionate and original individuals who believe no matter your history, past mistakes, religion, career choice, or relationship status, you are worthy of love.” They’re instagram is so inspiring too! soworthloving.com

  4. Love this list and such a fan of NEAT coffee, but where’s Wunderkid? They sell art to help young artists save for college.
